TUSTIN: LOW-COST SPAY & NEUTER CLINIC

August 28, 2023

OC Animal Care, 1630 Victory Rd, Tustin, CA 92782

Low-Cost, High-Quality & Care DOG Spay & Neuter Clinic

Thanks to the generosity of our amazing sponsors and partners, we are able to bring today’s spay & neuter clinic services to the community at the prices reflected below. Today’s clinic is for DOGS only!

All dogs must be microchipped to qualify for our spay/neuter services.  The prices shown below are for dogs which are already microchipped.  Please add $15 to the spay/neuter price if we will be microchipping your pet at the time of surgery.  The $15 fee also includes the permanent microchip enrollment fee.

*  Dog Neuter:  $225               *  Dog Spay:  $300

Appointments are required and the number of appointments we schedule is limited.  All fees are required in advance.  A non-refundable deposit of $50 is required (which is deducted from the fees listed above) and will be kept for any cancellation or no-show.  If you have a voucher, you are required to pay a $50 copay which is your total responsibility and shall also be applied as the non-refundable deposit.

Our Spay & Neuter Clinics are offered to pet owners having a financial hardship which prevents them from affording these services at a regular veterinary hospital.  Please do not make an appointment if you are able to afford to have your pet spayed/neutered at a regular pet hospital so that you don’t take the place of someone else who is truly in dire need of our services. (We may request proof of annual household income or other qualifying documentation).

All dogs must be current on their vaccinations. (Rabies, DHPP & Bordetella)

Pets must arrive between 7:00 am – 7:30 am.  Late arrivals might not be accepted and pets on our waiting list will then be accepted.  Pets will be discharged the same day of surgery and we will notify you when your pet is ready to be released. Please make sure that you provide us with your best contact number when you arrive so that we can reach you the first time we call or text you.

Do NOT give your pet any food past midnight the night before surgery, and please keep your pet away from toys or other items which it may possibly chew and ingest prior to the surgery.

We will not accept pets with fleas or ticks.  Therefore, we ask that you apply or administer a flea & tick control medication to your pet within 30 days of your scheduled appointment.

We are unable to accept dogs weighing over 50 pounds or any which are too tall or too long to fit on our surgery table.  Pets must be healthy and we do not accept pets under 2 pounds, younger than 2 months old, or brachycephalic (flat-faced) dogs (such as Pugs, Bulldogs, Boston Terriers, Boxers and others including mixed breeds having brachycephalic features). The above prices include the following for all pets:

*  Pre-surgical exam
*  General anesthesia
*  Routine surgeries
*  Cryptorchid surgeries
*  Pets in heat
*  Tattoo near incision site
*  Repair of hernia (if needed)
*  Nail trim  (if needed)
*  Antibiotic injection (if needed)
*  Pain injection
*  Pain medication sent home with owner
*  Betsy E-collar sent home with owner ***
*  Removal of deciduous canines (baby teeth) (if needed)
*  Removal of unattached dew claws (if needed)
*  Certificate of Sterility
*  Post surgical care instructions w/emergency pet hospital list

*** A “Pet Recovery Suit” may be recommended to use in lieu of an E-collar.  Many dogs will not accept wearing an E-collar, while a Pet Recovery Suit is comfortable and normally very well tolerated by the pet; however, each pet is different and a pet could potentially chew through the suit, so you must determine what would be best for your pet.

If you purchase a Pet Recovery Suit from a pet supply store, please bring it with you when you arrive at our clinic.  We will also have them available for purchase at our clinic and if you return it to us clean and undamaged within 30 days, we will refund all of your money less a $5.00 use fee.  (Please let us know in advance if you would like us to reserve one for your pet).

To schedule an appointment, please click on this link to fill out the appointment request form: heart4pets.org/spay-neuter. Upon submitting your Clinic Appointment Request form online, you will be required to read and agree to all of the terms and conditions contained in the  “Agreement & Release of Liability” document.
