* HEART’s ESA Certification Program opens up the opportunity for people to understand and exercise their rights to acquire housing and travel with their Emotional Support Animal. Requirements under our program:
* Owner of animal must provide a letter or note from a mental healthcare provider, doctor, or other professional case worker to HEART in order to qualify.
* Animal must exhibit a level of acceptable behavior.
* Animal must be current on its vaccines.
* Animal must be fixed (spayed/neutered) unless it is too old (determined by HEART) which exempts it from this requirement.
* An ESA attestation letter will be provided to person qualifying for an ESA.
* An ID tag for the animal’s collar which contains a personalized/individualized number identifying the animal as an ESA will be provided.
